Bay Area Trail Map: Carquinez Strait and Berkeley Hills

Finally, there is once again a detailed map of this parks- and trails-rich area in the Berkeley Hills and northern Contra Costa County, the only comprehensive trail map of this region. One side of this beautiful, detailed map includes Tilden Regional Park and Wildcat Canyon Regional Park, San Pablo Reservoir, Briones Reservoir, Briones Regional Park, and much more.
The other side has the Carquinez Strait area, including Crockett Hills Regional Park, Carquinez Strait Regional Park, the Muir Heritage Land Trust properties, and the northern EBMUD watershed.
Besides hiking trails, the map also shows the urban pathways and steps of the Berkeley and Kensington Hills. Most roads are shown and labeled. Wooded areas are indicated in green, developed areas in grey, and 40 foot contour lines are shown. Trail distances are marked.
The Berkeley Hills side also includes the following parks and preserves: northern portion of Redwood Regional Park (Skyline Gate trailhead), Huckleberry Botanic Regional Preserve, Sibley Volcanic Regional Preserve, Mulholland Ridge Open Space Preserve, Orinda Oaks Park, Lafayette Reservoir Recreation Area, Lafayette Community Park and Lafayette Moraga Regional Trail, Temescal Regional Recreation Area, Claremont Canyon Regional Preserve, University of California at Berkeley and trails, Marina Park, McLaughlin Eastshore State Park and Cesar Chavez Park, Point Isabel Regional Shoreline, Albany Hill Park, Kennedy Grove Regional Recreation Area, Sobrante Ridge Regional Preserve, Pinole Valley Park, Acalanes Ridge Open Space, Paso Nogal Park, and Ridgeview Open Space, plus other EBMUD watershed lands.
North side also includes Point Pinole Regional Shoreline, Bayfront Park, Hilltop Lake Park, Franklin Canyon, Fernandez Ranch, Dutra Ranch, Sky Ranch, Gustin Ranch, Martinez Regional Shoreline, Mare Island Shoreline Heritage Preserve, Benicia State Recreation Area, and Lake Herman Recreation Area.
