Mammoth Area Rock Climbs, 3rd Edition
The Climbing Guide To The Eastern Sierra—North
Marty Lewis & John Moynier, Foreword by Errett Allen

This is the definitive climbing guide for the area around Mammoth Lakes on the east side of California's Sierra Nevada Range, now in its third edition. The authors cover the best rock to be found around 100 different sites within a reasonable drive of Mammoth: quality volcanic crags, excellent granite and outstanding bouldering, with routes ranging from Class 4 to 13c.
Climbs range from Lee Vining Canyon at Yosemite's eastern gate in the north to the Rock Creek area in the south. The authors also provide excellent information about services in the region and a handy summary of area hot springs. The book is lavishly illustrated with photos, topographic and other maps, plus route diagrams.
